On April 24, 2025, Tiwa Savage released “You4Me,” an Afro-R&B single built around a sample of Tamia’s 1998 hit “So Into You.”

Award-winning Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage has just dropped her newest single, “You4Me,” which ingeniously incorporates a sample of Tamia’s classic mid-’90s hit “Into You.”

The Track: Melding Old and New

On “You4Me,” Tiwa Savage blends her distinct rhythmic flair with the smooth R&B textures of Tamia’s original, striking a balance between nostalgia and cutting-edge production. The result is a song that feels both familiar and forward-thinking, reflecting Tiwa’s wide-ranging musical inspirations.

From “Commitment” to “You4Me”

This release follows her recent collaboration “Commitment,” which paired Tiwa’s powerhouse vocals with British R&B star Craig David—himself well-known in Nigeria for early-2000s hits like “7 Days” and “Walking Away.” With “You4Me,” Tiwa continues to explore R&B territory while showcasing her evolution as an artist.1745526391_680a9e7789934.jpg

Milestones and Accolades

As she prepares a forthcoming album that seems poised to lean heavily into R&B, Tiwa Savage’s career momentum remains unstoppable. Earlier this year, Forbes Africa honoured her with the Media Icon Award, celebrating her significant influence on the continent’s music scene.

Championing Female Voices

Beyond her chart successes, Tiwa Savage has been a trailblazer for women in Nigerian music. Notably, she made history as the first Nigerian performer at the British Royal Coronation of King Charles III—an appearance that underlined her role as a cultural ambassador for Africa on the world stage.
